Hi lovers. Welcome to Shut Up, Are You Serious?
If you were lucky enough to follow my study abroad blog that aired 10 years ago.. then you know the drill. The only difference this time around is that the content is changing a bit. Instead of documenting my travels around Europe, you can come here weekly on Sunday at 1:00 PM CST to catch up on all the hot pop culture stories that happened the previous week.
So, let’s set some house rules of what you will find when visiting the Shut Up, Are You Serious? page.
First, I’ll start how this came to be. If you know me even on just a surface level, you know my love for celebrities, pop culture, and truly any type of drama. Earlier this year, I decided to take a break from all social media for three months as a “cleanse”. How dramatic, right? In that time, I realized the only real thing I missed about Instagram was not fully being in the loop on pop culture. This forced me to download the TMZ, People, and ENews app, just to be notified when the hottest celeb couple broke up. I needed to know this information like I needed my daily coffee. Truly essential to my everyday life. Anyways, a few weeks back, my bff Tori causally gave me the idea to have a weekly blog over an Instagram group we have that is titled “Housewives”. This insta group is dedicated strictly to sending each other all Bravo content including memes, drama, and any gossip related to Andy Cohen & his gals. Tori noticed that somehow, I always knew what drama was rising and could give the whole background story without much knowledge… some would call this a gift. But from that small comment of “Hannah, can you start a newsletter lmfao”… Shut Up, Are You Serious? was born.
So back to the house rules here. 1. I am not a formal writer which means that I will not be spell checking or checking my grammar to the fullest. Whatever auto correct says is right, is right here. 2. Every Sunday, you will receive a curated pop culture update on the following topics: music, tv/movie, celeb gossip, a hot topic, my favorite fashion or make up look that week, celeb couples, and of course, Bravo. 3. have fun
I hope to see you every Sunday π
Giddy Up.
